Over time, the skin loses elasticity.  Flabby, hanging skin in the upper inner arms is often the result.  (This can also occur as the result of significant weight loss.)  Arm contouring lifts and tightens loose skin and reduces flabbiness, resulting in a firmer, more youthful appearance and pleasing shape to the arms.  The results of arm contouring are long-lasting.  During the procedure, Dr. O'Daniel removes excess fat deposits and excess skin from incisions along the inner arm, where the tissue can be tightened and where the incision will be less visible.  The length of the scar depends on the amount of laxity of the skin.

Depending on the individual need, Dr. O'Daniel may also use liposuction in conjunction with an arm lift.
