Liposuction
Liposuction enhances the body's silhouette by removing stubborn areas of exercise-resistant fat deposits, most commonly around the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. A narrow tube, or cannula, is inserted through a tiny incision and used to vacuum the fat layer that lies deep beneath the skin.
Dr. O'Daniel uses a variety of refinements to this basic process to provide his patients with more precise results and quicker recovery time, depending on the individual patient and extent of areas needing liposuction. With his fluid injection techniques, including tumescent liposuction and the super-wet technique, he injects a medicated solution into fatty areas before extracting the fat.
Dr. O'Daniel commonly performs liposuction in our state-of-the-art, office-based Ambulatory Surgery Center using local anesthesia and sedation as an outpatient. Patients typically return to work within 3-5 days.
