Full Face Lift
Defy Gravity
The full facelift is suited for the person with significant slackness and volume loss of the mid-face, heavy lines along the mouth, down-turned lips, jowl formation, and significant looseness of the neck skin and muscles.
The deep plane facelift directly counteracts the aging effects of gravity. Because the facial fat and muscles are lifted vertically and secured to the deep structures, the face looks more natural immediately after the facelift, and the patient will continue to age normally without the tight, stretched look that plagues so many facelift techniques.
Fat injections restore volume: Utilizing the patient's own fat, micro-injections are used to restore lost volume in the cheeks, around the eye, and mouth. There is the additional "stem-cell"-like affect seen with reduction of wrinkles, imporved skin quality, and maintenance of the fat replacement.
For the past 21 years, Dr. O'Daniel has performed a variation of the deep plane facelift, now routinely combined with fat injections, to sculpt and reposition all the components of the aging face - skin, fat and muscle, unlike the commonly performed facelift, which can leave a "stretched and pulled" look. With his unique training in plastic surgery, head and neck surgery, and fellowship training in facial nerve surgery, Dr. O'Daniel is able to work in the different levels of the face as opposed to the traditional "pull-the face" approach of the average plastic surgeon. We perform this procedure on an outpatient basis, with our state-of-the-art anesthetic technique that utilizes minimal sedation that was recently published in the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal (February 2006). Dr. O'Daniel reported that 96 percent his facelift patients returned to their jobs and social lives within 10-14 days, with make-up.
