The entire staff from the front desk to the surgeon were friendly, knowledgeable and competent. I had a difficult surgery and never felt like I was an inconvenience to them. I am no longer in discomfort and I look more normal. I am not as selective about what I wear being concerned about how I look.
Dr. O’Daniel is a pediatric plastic surgeon in Louisville, as well as a fellowship-trained craniofacial surgeon. His double board certification in plastic surgery and otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) has given him unique skills and expertise that are used to achieve aesthetic correction of congenital deformities of the face.
The goals of correction of congenital deformities are the same as with facial cosmetic surgery — to create a natural appearance that removes the stigma of the facial deformity while minimizing the scars and signs of surgery. Dr. O’Daniel feels it is important for plastic surgeons to not only use their God-given surgical and artistic skills to achieve dramatic results in cosmetic surgery, but to also make these skills available to our most deserving patients — our children!
As director of the Louisville Cleft and Craniofacial Team, Dr. O’Daniel still directs a considerable amount of his surgical skills to patients with congenital abnormalities of the face.
Cleft lip, palate and nasal deformity correction are one of the most recognized operations performed by plastic surgeons. They occur as frequently as one in every 650 babies born.
Dr. O’Daniel has been dedicated to the study of the art of cleft surgery for 20 years. He has had the opportunity to train at two of the world’s best Cleft Centers, with Dr. Jeffery Marsh at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and Dr. Samuel Noordhoff at Gang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. He is currently the director of the multi-specialty team dedicated to the treatment of children with clefts in Kentucky and southern Indiana.

“Who doesn’t want to look their best? Our bodies are a representation of who we are, what we do, and how we live our lives. Life’s demands can, over time, leave our bodies needing a ‘pick-me-up’ of sorts. When that time comes, my years of experience can help realign inner desires with an outer appearance that instills confidence and pride.”
